All-new Corsa driven

This, as you'll know from our extensive news coverage, is the all-new Corsa.

vauxhall corsavauxhall corsa 2vauxhall corsa 3vauxhall corsa 4 It's a car that Vauxhall has to pitch not only against established local rivals, like the recently revised Ford Fiesta, but also an ominously strong showing from abroad in the various forms of Renault Clio, Peugeot 207, Toyota Yaris and Fiat Grande Punto. That's a lot of cars. A lot of very good cars, in fact.

So what's the Vauxhall got that's going to win us over? For starters, there are the looks - full marks for finally getting some distance from the usual staid Corsa styling (in three-door format at least).

It's also bigger than the outgoing car, so there's greater interior space - and we've been promised a quick VXR version to capitalise on what is claimed to be a highly agile chassis.

Good news indeed. Trouble is, there's just one big question that remains for the Corsa - what does it drive like?

The answer will be revealed - on the homepage of this very website - on Monday August 21.

The annoying thing is that we've already driven it. And we already know what it's like. And we were hoping to be able to tell you. But if we spill the beans before Monday, Vauxhall has promised us they'll be unspeakably angry.

So, check back after the weekend - we'll reveal all and keep the boys from Luton happy. We hope...
