Jeep Compass Rallye points the way

Usually we have to wait a while before manufacturers or aftermarket companies start to offer dodgy bodykits for their cars, but not Jeep.

The US firm has dived straight in with its Compass Rallye, which looks like a contender for our Carbage pages before it's even gone on sale in the UK.

We can expect to see the Compass Rallye in April 2007 with a choice of 2.4-litre petrol or 2.0-litre turbodiesel engines and prices starting at less than £20,000.

The Compass Rallye uses the same four-wheel-drive system that is found in Jeep's other new model for 2007, the Patriot.

Looking much more like the familiar Jeep family we know, the Patriot uses the same engines as the Compass but will not reach showrooms until July 2007.
