Roush Reactor Ready To Roll

LIVONIA, Mich. — Roush Performance has teamed with Mustang specialists Mike and Jim Ring to showcase the Reactor, a one-of-a-kind 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, at the upcoming SEMA show in Las Vegas.

The one-off pony car, which took more than 2,000 hours to construct, was built for Doug Hoppe of Sioux Center, Iowa, to contest the 2007 Good Guys Street Machine of the Year award.Under the hood is a Roush 427 IR crate engine, featuring forged pistons, rods and cranks and rated at 552 horsepower and 535 pound-feet of torque.The Ringbrothers specialize in rebuilding and customizing vintage Mustangs. Hoppe's car received a split rear window and hand-built deck lid, hood, front fascia, bumpers and taillight panel constructed of carbon-fiber.For more information, see the Roush or Ringbrothers Web sites.
