Countdown to Mitsubishi Evo X

Start the clocks a-counting now because we have just over a year to wait for the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.

We can expect to see it touch down in the UK in early 2008, while visitors to the Detroit motor show will get a sneaky look at the nearly finished product in the shape of the Prototype X.

This prototype joins the rest of the Lancer range, which is launched at Detroit.

We'll see the production version of the Evo later in 2007, and it will come with a sophisticated four-wheel-drive system and 276bhp engine.
