DETROIT — Can't get enough basketball? Portable BBall is a system that gives you the opportunity to play basketball wherever you want to drive. The system hooks onto your vehicle's trailer hitch, attaching a compacted pole backboard and rim that ride along and then telescope out for a pick-up game in the locale of your choice.

The system can be hooked onto standard 2-inch (or 1-1/4-inch with an adapter) trailer hitch receivers on most cars, trucks, SUVs and recreational vehicles. The "fan sized" 44-inch backboard pairs with a solid steel rim, four-piece telescoping pole system — with adjusting angle for "maximum playability" — and a nylon net. The basketball net will wind up 7 feet from the tailgate of your vehicle. If that's not far enough for your taste, the company will sell you an optional net to keep stray balls from zinging your paint job.
