2008 Jeep Wrangler update
Jeep Australia has announced today that it will launch an updated 2008 model Wrangler with a host of additions to the standard vehicle line-up. The biggest update is the much anticipated CRD off-road group which can be optioned to any turbo diesel model.
The Wrangler range starts from $30,990 for the two door and goes all the way to $45,990 for the 3.8-litre V6 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.
The petrol variant are powered by a 3.8-litre V6 with 146kW and 315Nm of torque while diesel lovers are satisfied with a 2.8-litre four cylinder turbodiesel with 130kW and a massive 400Nm of torque.
Standard features for the 2008 Jeep Wrangler:
- Standard tyre pressure warning lamp
- Standard 17 inch alloy wheels across the entire range
- 2.8L CRD with automatic transmission now has 460Nm of torque (2.8L CRD with manual transmission remains unchanged at 410Nm)
- 3.73:1 axle ratio (replaces 4.10) on automatic models
- Unlimited models now receive an 85L fuel tank
- New color added called Detonator Yellow
- Dual Top Standard on Rubicon and Rubicon Unlimited (Rubicon axle ratio remains unchanged).
