Audi A1 Sportback Concept will appear at Paris Auto Show
Audi is set to unveil a five door, four seater version of the A1 at the Paris Motor Show tomorrow, this time a Sportback variant.
Powering the A1 Sportback is a hybrid system combining a 1.4 TFSI petrol engine (which produces 110kW) and an electric motor producing an addition 20kW (and 150Nm of torque) available under acceleration. Drive is delivered to the front wheels via Audi’s S-Tronic dual clutch transmission.
Fitted with ESP and differential lock, the front wheel set up is said to promote dynamism, efficiency and motoring pleasure - all we know is it looks pretty impressive and with the whole vehicle able to run solely on electric power for up to 100km, it should be pretty light on the wallet come fill up time too.
Also featuring automatic stop/start facility and energy regeneration, A1 Sportback manages a claimed 0-100 time of 7.9 seconds with a top speed of 200km/h. Fuel consumption is 3.9 litres per 100km.
