Pocket Rocket: Mazdaspeed3 shares turbo engine with Mazdaspeed6

Mazda seems to have gone slightly performance crazy as of late with Mazda Performance Series versions of popular cars like Mazda6.

The Mazdaspeed treatment has now been applied to the small Mazda3 which will be officially unveiled at this months Geneva Motor Show. It packs the same 2.3 liter turbo charged 4-cylinder engine with advanced direct fuel injection as its bigger brother, but with only front wheel drive at its disposal it will have to be detuned to avoid massive wheelspin. Prices for the US have yet to be fixed but expect some serious bang for your buck.
