Volkswagen Concept A - a coupe-SUV

A Berlin debut, yesterday, for the Volkswagen Concept A, a small coupe-SUV, with a long hood and and a hatchback front, mated with a shor coupè-like rear, very short overhangs and gigantic wheels (20" rims, 295/40 tyres).

The dimensions of the Concept A are pretty compact (4,35 meters long, 1,85 meters wide and 1,55 meters high) but, thanks to the big wheels and the low body, it seems sleeker than its dimensions suggest.

If it's an anticipation of the future Volkswagen Golf SUV, it'll be way better than the Golf Plus-based spyshot we saw up to now suggested.

The engine is a 150 hp version of the 1.4 liters TSI (twin-charger), but VW says that the Concept A could mount a TDI engine with anti-particulate filter or the 4 cylinder turbo-FSI 2 liter engine. 4Motion 4WD and a DSG gearbox complete the picture.
