When Skoda first showed off its Roomster as a concept a couple of years ago, many thought it would lead to a watered down production model.

But no, Skoda stuck to its guns and launched the Roomster as a distinctive small MPV.

So, here we have the Joyster from Skoda, which will be its star concept at next week's Paris Motor Show.

A three-door sports-estate, the Joyster shares a similar front grille and headlight treatment to the Roomster, while the back end kicks up to provide head and luggage space.

Skoda is keeping quiet about the likelihood of the Joyster going into production, but given their recent track record we could be driving a Skoda coupe in two or three years' time.
