Subaru Impreza WRC2007 Unveiled
BANBURY, England — Subaru's world rally team has pulled the wraps off the Impreza WRC2007, which is making its competition debut at Rally Mexico.
The WRC2007 is the latest in a string of sensational rally cars from the Japanese automaker. It is a collaborative effort among parent company Fuji Heavy Industries and Subaru Tecnica International (STI) in Japan and the Subaru World Rally Team in England.
Although similar in appearance to its predecessor, the Impreza WRC2007 features a number of under-the-skin mechanical enhancements and performance upgrades. Among them are new shocks, radiator and intercooler.
There are subtle changes to the exterior as well, including a new front bumper and different hood vents.
Racing versions of the Impreza have notched nearly 50 WRC wins over the past 13 seasons.
