Chrysler Announces Pricing on 2008 Sebring Convertible

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — The 2008 Chrysler Sebring convertible will range in price from $26,145, including a $675 destination charge, for the base model to $32,345 for a top-of-the-line Limited model, Chrysler Group said on Thursday. The automaker said its new Sebring convertible is priced $645 below the comparable outgoing model.

The base 2008 Sebring convertible is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes a vinyl convertible top.

The midrange 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Touring model starts at $28,745, including destination. It gets a standard 2.7-liter V6 flex-fuel engine that produces 189 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. A cloth or retractable hardtop is optional.

The 2008 Sebring Convertible Limited model is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter V6 that makes 235 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque, coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. A cloth convertible top is standard.

The retractable hardtop adds $2,170 to the price of the 2008 Chrysler Sebring Convertible Touring model and $1,995 to the Touring model equipped with the Special Touring Group and on the Limited model.
