Bond's DB5 goes under the hammer
Playing James Bond remains a fantasy for most of us, but one Swiss car collector got a bit closer to the dream when he successfully bid more than £1 million for Bond's Aston DB5.
The car is one four originals used in the films Goldfinger and Thunderball, and they were also used for promotional work.
All of the Bond gadgets are present and correct, so the new owner can play to his heart's content with machine guns, bullet-proof rear shield and oil slick ejector.
Luckily for passengers in the Bond DB5, the elector seat has been replaced with a more usual pew.
