Ferrari 250 California Spyder would be auctioned
The second annual “Ferrari Leggenda e Passione” auction is all set to start bids for the Ferrari 250 California Spyder. Only 100 units of rare model, considered by many to be the most valuable car that came out of the Ferrari stable, were manufactured by the company between 1957 and 1962.
At the event, one each of the 1958 LWB covered headlamp version (s/n 0923GT) which is finished in classic Ross ores, and the 1961 SWB version (s/n 2377GT) with coachwork and original Nero black finish, will be put under the hammer. The classic rides are estimated to fetch around $4,000,000 to $6,000,000 at the May 18 auction to be held by RM Auctions in association with Sotheby in Milan, Italy.
