Audi A3 TDI in America
If you’re into oil burners, time to start praying to your personal car gods. Audi is taking a long hard look at selling their tasty A3 2.0 TDI here in the land of the free, home of the Alaskan hockey mom. The diminutive hatch comes complete with 140 horsepower and a whopping 236 lb-ft of torque, bone stock.
With a little tweaking and some love from the aftermarket industry, the car shouldn’t have a problem hopping the 200 horsepower mark, making for a hella fun ride that’s still capable of 40 mpg when you’re just cruising down the highway. Audi is naturally wary of America’s fear of anything diesel powered, but federal tax breaks should help take care of that.
