Ferrari F430 by TG-2

The F430 has never been accused of being the best looking Ferrari ever, but it didn’t deserve this. Tuner T2-G decided to make new front and rear treatments for this Italian, and has officially turned this prancing horse into a gelding (de-balled).

Ferrari F430 by TG-2Whatever aggressiveness the F430 had disappears in the new "grinning" front grille. Possibly what the tuner is going for here is a Ferrari that brings smile to everyone’s face. We are not impressed.

Ferrari F430 Scuderia

Ferrari F430 Scuderia is one of the most amazing performance cars to ever be built. By deleting 220 pounds and adding 27 horsepower, the F430 Scuderia was even able to beat the mighty Enzo around Ferrari’s test track. So with perfection seemingly hit square on the head, would Ferrari dare alter the Scuderia?

According to Motor Authority, Ferrari is planning to launch and open-air Spider version of the F430 Scuderia. The F430 Scuderia Spider is said to be readying for its debut by the end of 2008, with production earmarked for about 300 units.

Ferrari F430 Scuderia-1Ferrari F430 Scuderia-2Although the allure of a super Ferrari convertible is undeniable, there are just a few points that lead us to believe that the Scuderia Spider could just be too good to be true. The first and most obvious is that the Scuderia puts a heavy emphasis on lightweight. Convertibles are historically heavier than their fixed-roof counterparts – due to the need of added reinforcements – and the F430 Spider actually tips the scales about 155 pounds heavier than the F430 coupe. That means the F430 Spider starts out life a whopping 375 pounds heavier than the Scuderia — a number hard to over come even by deleting all items not directly related to driving.

Pictures of an alleged Scuderia Spider have also surfaced, but a few details don’t pan out on the car. While all the appropriate body work and badging appears in the photos, the car pictured has the F430’s standard interior, not the race specific innards of the Scuderia.

Despite the inconsistencies, the Scuderia Spider is rumored to debut before year’s end, so at least we will have an answer by the time we are toasting to the new year.

2008 Ferrari F430 Coupe-12008 Ferrari F430 Coupe-22008 Ferrari F430 Coupe-3The F430 bears a strong resemblance to the 360 that it replaces, however it’s a totally different creation. The two front intakes are not only inspired by the 156 F1 car that Phil Hill drove to victory n 1961, but also to cool the carbon-ceramic front brakes.

There are several features of the car that show just how scientific the design process was – the air flows in a vector between the twin struts of the wing-mirror, along a groove in the door and neatly into the rear intake cowls. Similarly, another aerodynamic work of genius draws air along the shut-line at the bottom of the doors and into another set of intakes, which service the rear brakes. A completely flat underside and rear splitter help to provide more down-force.

The biggest miracle of design is that the renowned Italian automotive designer, Pininfarina managed to achieve all of this and still managed to make this Berlinetta look fantastic, in an athletic kind of way. Unveiled in 2004 at the Paris Motor Show, this F1-inspired mid-rear engined super car was launched in 2005. It’s powered by a naturally aspirated 360 kW, 4.3-litre V8 (456 Nm of torque), has a lightweight aluminium chassis and body panels and is bristling with technology developed on the race track.

Advanced aerodynamics, suspension and the electronic differential (E-Diff) ensure that performance dynamics are nothing short of astounding. Ferrari F430 has a maximum speed of 315 km/h.

A welcome addition to the F430 is the Manettino switch. Explained briefly, this is an F1 style set-up selector on the steering wheel. In ‘Sport’ mode the suspension height is lowered and damping stiffness is increased, the engine management is reigned in and safety systems and traction control become less intrusive.

‘Race’ mode gives you a bit more and will let you slide enough to make you look like a superstar but there’s still enough safety stuff looking after you if you overcook it. In ‘CST/OFF’ mode, everything’s off and if you’re not a superstar, you’ll probably kill yourself.

Hamann Ferrari F430 Black Miracle

Hamann calls its latest edition of the Ferrari F430 the Black Miracle.
Hamann Ferrari F430 Black MiracleHamann Ferrari F430 Black Miracle 2Hamann Ferrari F430 Black Miracle 3Hamann Ferrari F430 Black Miracle 4Hamann Ferrari F430 Black Miracle 5The German tuning house has designed a unique process that covers much of the car body in matte-black foil, which Hamann says can be removed "when the color doesn't seem pleasing anymore." For a stark contrast, the aero body pieces — front spoiler, side skirts, rear wing and diffuser — can be finished in brilliant orange, red or yellow. Mirrors, wheels and brake calipers can be finished in the same color.

To further enhance the look, Hamann offers dark tinted windows, tinted rear lights, a colored engine cover and two-tone leather upholstery.

Of course, no Hamann model would be complete without the tuner's signature wing doors.

Under the unusual skin, Hamann has breathed a bit more performance into the car's DOHC 4.3-liter V8, lifting output from 490 to 540 horsepower through recalibrated engine electronics and the adaptation of a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system.

A new set of springs helps lower the suspension. Hamann provides its Edition Race with three-piece forged alloy wheels in a 20-inch size.
